Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Black & Decker CJ525 CitrusMate Plus Citrus JuicerCustomer Review: Best bargain for the price Summary: 5 Stars
I have two other juicers, both costing over $200 each. They are complicated to clean and one is complicated to even assemble. This Black & Decker juicer for under $20 is the most convenient, easy to assemble, easy to use, most efficient item for the price I could have possibly purchased. Let's face it, if something is difficult or time consuming to use, how often do you use it? This citrus juicer is on the counter continually because it takes up so little space. We now have fresh squeezed orange juice every day because it's so convenient and easy to use.
When I need fresh squeezed lemon juice for a recipe, this juicer is right there to use.
I keep saying, FOR THE PRICE, this is awesome. Will it last like a $200 one? Probably not but I can replace it ten times or more and will.
Customer Review: Heaven! Summary: 5 Stars
I like to make homemade orange/lemonade and when I went to do so last week, discovered it has gotten more and more difficult. I've never had much strength in my arms, and now with arthritis, squeezing the fruit was more painful than ever before. I thought " there must be an easier way" & turned to Amazon.com. I picked this one for a couple of reasons - I didn't want to pay a lot (don't need to juice carrots or beets), and I like pulp, and this will let all the pulp I want go through.
It came a couple of days ago, and I tried it right away. What a difference! Light, easy to use, just put that orange on the cone & zip, Juice Is Us. Pulp yes, seeds no. The machine is light, easy to use, easy to clean. This arthritic grandmother loves it and totally heartily recommends it.
Customer Review: What a joy! Summary: 5 Stars
I always took pride in the fact that I hand squeezed lemons for fresh lemonade. Unfortunately I have severe arthritis and carpal tunnel so fresh lemon or orange juice were a rare treat in my house. On a lark I looked for an easier way to get juice from a lemon and I happened upon the Black & Decker citrus juicer. The price was right and even though, in the back of my mind I was sure it would be a "bust, I thought I'd give it a try. WHAT A JOY!!! The day it arrived, I squeezed a dozen lemons in a fraction of the time it used to take AND I got twice as much juice with almost no pain. I plan on picking up a couple of dozen oranges as soon as I can to treat my family to fresh orange juice. The juicer is easy to use and easy to clean. All in all I think this product is fantastic!
Customer Review: Really pleased with this product Summary: 5 Stars
We purchased this juicer over three years ago and have used it through the years. We don't drink a lot of fresh orange juice, it's expensive, but we do use this juicer for cooking. The juicer is well made, sturdy, and easy to use. Cut the citrus in half, insert the cut half over the juicing cone, and the machine springs to life quickly juicing the fruit.
The juicer also has controls that allow the amount of desired amount to be included in the final product.
Finally, the juicer comes with two cones so you can juice oranges or smaller fruit such as lemons.
As to cleaning: the juicer is easy to disassemble and clean. Insert the juicing parts in the dishwasher and you are done. Wipe down the base for good measure.
Highly recommend.
Customer Review: Love it! Summary: 5 Stars
I have needed a automatic juicer for a while but had been manually extracting citrus juice w/a reamer. Oh, this makes my life so much easier. I have a 2 year old & she loves juice....I refuse to buy box juice...it's so not juice. The whole family loves our new juicer. I was to partial to this brand because America's Test Kitchen rated this the next best to a $169.00 citrus juicer...so for now I'll use this one & soon one day I'll treat us to the $169.00 one. Love it! I'm currently drinking a Blood Orange Margarita thanks to this great juicer...I frozen the juice of 8 blood oranges for 3 hours & then raked the ice w/a fork...put the beautiful burgandy red ice crytals in a martini glass w/tequila...delicious (1 part tequila 2 parts ice crystals)
