Very well designed, simple to operate, and functionally very efficient. Quickly and effortlessly extracts all the juice from a half orange. Has a 3-position pulp screen, which gives juice that is either as pulp-free as water, very slightly pulpy, or more noticeably pulpy. Very simple to assemble, disassemble, and clean (in the dishwasher, of course).
The automatic-reversing feature on the motor is a key advantage. All you do is release your hand pressure a little and the reamer reverses direction, a major aid to getting the job fully done in minimum time. On the first attempt, I had a pitcher full of juice (about a quart) in just a few minutes.
One caveat: carefully follow the instructions for removing the pulp screen from the strainer for cleaning. The two will separate easily by gently pressing the white retainer tab on the bottom of the strainer. (Your first inclination is to pry them apart.)
Bottom line: a really great value, and superb at doing what it's designed to do.

I bought this juicer hoping it would be a relief to my wrists from squeezing all the oranges from a friend's tree. What a great product! The first time I used it, it took a little getting used to because you have to adjust the amount of pressure to use to push down. (Pressure only....no twisting.) From manually squeezing juice to using this juicer, you would think you'd have to push down hard, but you don't. If you do, the motor does stop. Just ease up on the pressure and and you will have your oranges squeezed in no time. It's not that the motor lacks power, you just don't need to push down hard to get it to do its job! I don't use the cover since I store it in the cabinet and I don't use one of the extra orange-colored pieces so as far as cleaning it, it's simple. You have the 1 container, a 2 piece strainer that come apart easily and the piece that squeezes the juice out...4 pieces to wash! Nice! You may just have to wipe down the base from a little juice splatter. I love this gadget. Well worth the money!Customer Review: does the job well

at first glance the juicer seems very light and flimsy (which is what i would expect from B&D). Although it's small size is a plus for kitchen counters which are filled with so many appliances these days. But it worked beautifully. It got every bit of the juice and pulp (i like a lot of pulp so i haven't tested it with little or no pulp) and strained it automatically and effortlessly. I used to use a one of those chintzy plastic hand strainers that would clog half way through an orange, requiring further straining by hand. But this one kept pushing everything through to the pitcher.
If you squeeze one or two glasses of juice a day at the price i highly recommend this. If you need to juice large amounts daily as others have mentioned this would probably give you hand fatigue and you would need a professional model costing much more. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because of it's light construction and so not being sure how long it will last. But for under $20 it does the job well.

Powerful little machine means business! I wash huge batches of citrus at a time, cut them all in half, and juice to my favorite lively music. The house smells fantastic from the citrus and my family and friends enjoy the juice. What a fun machine for the whole family. Children love to use this kitchen tool, under supervision of course! Even my husband thinks it is fun to juice with this handy tool. All help in the kitchen is welcome! If you have citrus trees especilly I reccommend this juicer. The screen has to be rinsed often while making big quantities, but this is nothing compared to the old fashioned way of juicing. Everyone loves the speed and quality of mine! Try mixing several different citrus fruits for amazing tastes, or adding a touch of vanilla and sweet-n-low to the juice for a flavor reminiscent of Orange Julius! The first week we had it, we loved this juicer and made several containers of OJ. Around week 3-4, the motor started clicking and slipping when we pushed down hard, so we stopped pushing hard. Keep in mind that when I say "hard" I mean about 10 lbs of force with one hand, less than you would use for a manual juicer.
Long story short, after another week the clicking got worse, and we had to use progressively less and less force. Now it is so flimsy it doesn't work well at all, and to get it to work (I kid you not) I have to use earplugs because the clicking is so loud. The machine is light plastic and inexpensive, so I can't really say I'm surprised. I have to imagine that most of these other reviewers wrote their reviews in the first few weeks of use when it worked great.
If you juice oranges a few times a month, then this juicer is for you. If you want regular juice, then I would recommend another brand/model.
