I have had Bissell cleaners for years and when I read about the Pro Heat2 with an on-board heater I thought that was a great feature...
Well I bought one last October and that very 1st day I got 1/2 of the family room done and it stopped working. I called the store in which I bought it and of course they said I could return it - so I did and just got another one. I have used it approx 4 times over this year and it has stopped completely. If I really think back I think I had issues each time I used it with either how much water was dispensed or how little water it picked back up... When I called Bissell they gave a repair shop to call as it is still under warranty - - the repair shop told me they had 12 sitting in their shop right now for repair - - that was not a good thing to hear.. I have always had a steam cleaner since I have been married and consider it a must have appliance, especially if you have kids and animals...
Save youself alot of head-aches and do not buy this cleaner...

I got mine at the Home Depot, I have mostly had the Regine Vac carpet cleaner but they stopped making them, and I have to tell you it is the best carpet cleaner I have ever purchased, I have rented the grocery store ones, and I have borrowed a Hoover but this one really cleaned my carpets, I live in Arizona, we have a dust problem that you have to be here to understand, BUT this machine (with the extra floor nozzles) does the carpets and Hard flood with ease, and the only time I can remember seeing the true colour of the carpet was when I had them professionaly cleaned, yes I am happy with my purchase, I would make one choice different, I wish it did a better job on the hard floors, it seems to me that the hard floor peoblems are a lot different then carpet problems. I have children and pets and seriously purchased new carpet to put in my upstairs because I felt my carpet was unrepairable. I purchased the cleaner to get me by until the new carpet can be installed. The cleaner cleaned my carpet to the point it was glistening like it was brand new. The cleaner looks like a beast, acts like a beast, and really does an awesome job! I highly recommend it!Customer Review: I couldn't be happier with this product!

I got the Bissell Proheat 2x for a gift and I could not be happier with it. We had the ugliest, nastiest, stinkiest carpet from our kids and pets. So many stains and I thought the carpet was a goner. This cleaner has made my carpets look brand new. I kid you not! I love, love, love this carpet cleaner.
