Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Berndes Stainless-Steel Egg PoacherCustomer Review: Quality Summary: 4 Stars
I am very pleased with this product. It is exactly what I was looking for in a poacher and it is a nice quality product. My only complaint is it did not include any instructions aside from cleaning instructions. Since I had never cooked poached eggs before, I had to guess at how to use the product. It would be nice to know if I should remove the superfuluous egg cups or fill the unused cups with water while cooking fewer than 4 eggs. Also, i just guess at how long to cook them and I assume that the cups should be sprayed with cooking spray first.
Description of Berndes Stainless-Steel Egg PoacherServe up perfect Eggs Benedict every time with Berndes' handy egg poacher-and skip the delicate maneuvers and hopeful finger-crossing required by standard pans! Crafted from high-quality 18/10 stainless steel with an encapsulated aluminum base, the poacher features four nonstick cavities that hold each egg in a neat little bundle with yolks and whites intact. The metal heats quickly and evenly and won't pick up stains or odors, and it resists corrosion and cleans up in a jiffy. Tired of watching over boiling water? The see-through glass lid is vented to allow air and extra pressure to escape and lifts easily with the help of a large top finial. For safe carrying to and from the stovetop, the long stick handle has plenty of room for fingers or an oven mitt. The poacher holds 1-1/2 quarts and measures 8 inches in diameter. It has a modern mirror-polish finish for a clean, sleek look in the kitchen. --Kara Karll
