Customer Review: Great product--love the design!

I ordered some of these for myself after always borrowing those my husband uses in his office. I was familiar with the fact that the image is printed on the stone (unlike the other reviewer) so I was not surprised. The printing is well done and permanent. It doesn't look cheezy. They are made from a special stone that absorbs liquids well. He has used his for years and I wanted some to prevent heat damage to my plastic tablecloths and tables. Now hubby can put his coffee cup anywhere! I especially love this design. Obviously, if it was real stone, which I also have, it would not absorb any liquid and the glass would sweat and stick to the coaster. So I'm throwing out my stone ones in favor of these. Love 'em!

Thirstystone quarries their sandstone for the Coasters in the Southwestern United States using the most environmentally conscious methods to extract the sandstone boulders that will be crafted into Thirstystone coasters. Thirstystone Sandstone Coasters are among the finest in the world, due to their incredible absorbing ability. The unusual nature of the porous sandstone literally absorbs messy drips from beverages without leaking onto furniture. They also do not lose their ability to absorb over time. The Coasters come in a set of 4, with each one being 4" in diameter and 3/8" thick. Each has a cork back so as not to scratch surfaces. These coasters have a high resolution printed color image on the surface that does not hinder the absorbent qualities of the natural sandstone.Coasters
