My students run a "bagel bar" at school each week & I didn't want to have to worry about them slicing their hands. This worked great! We've been using it for a few years now & I love it!!! Works very well, some bagels you have to flatten a little to get them in there, but thats only if its a really big bagel. Slicing bagels can be a "dangerous" undertaking! This is a no fail product! Two reasons...1., no way can you slice your hand along w/the bagel & 2., it slices the bagel perfectly to fit into the
toaster!

I don't get it. We just can't slice a bagel with this w/o mashing it. We have to pull the bagel out of the unit and then try to reshape the bagel into a circle. We'll keep trying though, mayb e practice makes perfect. Hopefully I'll be writing another review with more stars. The slicer is a very sturdy and well made.Customer Review: Guillotine Bagel Slicer

Of all the bagel slicers I have tried,the "Bagel Biter" is by far the best. It's easy to use, cuts bagels evenly in half, precludes using a bread knife and is exceptionally easy to clean. I've found this Bagle Biter to be a dual action tool. One that slices without dicing and also serves a stress buster after that rough mornin' commute. Never once known to fail and like those watches, it takes a lickin,' and keeps on splitin'those bagels each morning.
