Customer Review: Would not recommend!
Summary: 1 Stars
Bought this blender about 3 months back and use it pretty often. Pet peeves:
1. The sipping end of the closable lids of the travel mugs coincides with the handle of the mug! Tried to place the lids at all angles before screwing them to the mug. This means that we cannot hold the mug with the handle and drink at the same time -- a major design flaw. (Have been managing by inserting straws in the sipping hole.)
2. The rubber gasket around the lids and the blade bases comes off easily and once got tangled to the blades. Ouch! Had to stop blending, clean the grinder, and unwind it from the blades myself before further blending.
3. Both low and high speeds make aweful noise. Don't use the blender after 10p if you live in an apartment complex.
4. The blending jars with the blade bases affixed to them are NOT leak-proof, as claimed. While blending something like watermelon, the juice conveniently leaks while blending, create an utter mess :(.
5. Does not grind dry stuff at all, unless you have an hour to spare and can patiently move things around with a spoon in the blending jar. This renders the smaller bending containers almost useless!
6. The dual flat blade base is also almost useless as the blades are too close to the base to be able to grind anything.
Finally, the "11-piece" mixing system, as advertized, has two travel mugs with lids (that thankfully do fit in car cup holders), two blending containers (with NO separate lids for them) and two grinder blades (along with drinking rims, etc). Not sure if the number of "actually useful" parts adds to 11!
Overall, an ill-designed, pain-in-the-neck home appliance. Could give a 0-star rating if one was available.
