Jacob now loves his K'tan! I bought the Baby K'tan because I had wanted a sling, and the one I had ordered (The Peanut Shell) was not versatile enough to fit a woman with a larger bust. Unfortunately, I hadn't read that review prior to purchasing it... I had seen the pics for Baby K'tan on Amazon.com, but because I had seen someone wearing the sash with it, I thought it was something that depended on knots to make it work. I knew I didn't want to rely on my knots to keep my baby safe, so didn't even read the description. I sent an email through Baby K'tan's website (http://www.babyktan.com/index.html)and found out what size they recommended for me, then ordered one. I tried Jacob in it at two weeks, and he didn't like it--too much fabric around his head. I then tried it this morning because he is able to hold his head up better, and so I could arrange the fabric differently. He loved it! He fell asleep in it and protested when I went to put him in bed. He is two months old now and weighs almost 13 lbs. I know he will get quite a lot of use out of it from now on! I loved that this was designed by parents raising differently abled kids. My brother was born with CP and mental retardation, and couldn't walk until he was 6. My mom would have loved to have some thing like this to make her life easier.

The Baby K'tan Baby Carrier is a new and innovative soft baby carrier that is a cross between a sling and a more structured front carrier, providing the positions and benefits of both. There is no other carrier available like it. Parents or caregivers can comfortably carry infants and toddlers (from birth to 3+ years old) in five different positions, (normally three different carries are needed to encompass these 5 positions), and create an ideal environment for premature babies and babies with special needs. The Baby K'tan has added security and back support as compared to the traditional sling, and added comfort and ease of use as compared to the traditional front carrier. Our unique design offers the wearer a 100% cotton carrier with NO buckles, snaps, rings or hardware, that otherwise make baby wearing complicated and uncomfortable. Our patent pending lumbar support band offers the wearer extra back support and makes it easy to adjust baby or toddler's weight distribution on both shoulders. The Baby K'tan's unique two loop design holds babies more securely and is extremely easy to use - NO WRAPPING INVOLVED! It is easy to put on and take off. The Baby K'tanTM Baby Carrier is sized to fit the parent or adult who will be carrying the child. Carrier size generally corresponds to a fitted t-shirt size for women and chest measurements generally correspond to suit jacket size for men. If in between sizes, choose a smaller size. For true size, wash and tumble dry before first use. Small: Women top size up to size 6 and men chest size up to 37 inches. Medium: Women top size 8-12 and men chest size 38-42 inches.
