Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Baby Cubes Pk of 8x 40ml/1ozCustomer Review: Waste of Money Summary: 1 Stars
Hi, I bought these, thought they looked practical and sounded good. well I have used them for the first time, filled them below the line and placed them on the tray in the freezer - next morning all the lids had popped open.
Acidentally dropped one as I took it out of the freezer today and the lid smashed off.
Not happy with this product at all.
I wish I had thought of the ice-cube tray and then slipping into zip-lock freezer bags - I wouldn't have wasted my money on these.
And to top it all off I bought two trays!!
Customer Review: Pop open Summary: 2 Stars
These are a great idea but they don't stay closed. The 2-ounce containers from Baby Cubes have a slightly different lid and they don't pop open as much, so I would buy those if you're looking at this product. I take a 2-ounce container of veggies out of my freezer before bed, it defrosts in the fridge over night and I serve my baby out of it for a day or two until it's gone (scooping out a serving and putting it on his plate of course, not spooning directly out of the container). Works great, but the 1-ounce, as I said, they don't stay closed.
Customer Review: Amazing Summary: 5 Stars
I love these cubes! My oly disappointment is that I only bought 1 but I am coming back for 5 more sets. I make all sorts of puree's and spoon them into the little cups. They snap close so you know its tightly sealed and off it goes in the freezer. Like the person before me said, you take as many as you need and go while they defrost in the car. You can also add boiling water to defrost it and make it smoother for younger babies (please note: always check food tempurature before feeding your baby!).
Customer Review: ok, but cheaper, better options exist Summary: 2 Stars
I purchased the 1 oz. and 2 oz. cubes. They work perfectly fine, but my baby outgrew those small portions so quickly. It is much easier to just use ice cube trays and use however many cubes she needs. You only need to purchase 4-5 ice cube trays and they you can build up a storage of food cubes. With the food cube storage system, you have to use a food cube for every meal, so we ended up buying 6 trays. Like I said, it is a good product, but easier to just get ice cube trays.
Customer Review: Didn't work very well. Summary: 5 Stars
Loved the idea of these. But the lids didn't stay down once put in freezer and even when taking with me. They just don't have a tight enough seal that the food seeped out and ran all over. I've just started using ice cube trays and then putting it in freezer bags and storing that way. Plus these containers are really small and baby started eating more than one container at each sitting so these wouldn't have lasted long if they would have worked well anyways!
