This is the second glass pitcher I ordered when I broke my one & only glass pitcher I had owned for years. I have several plastic pitchers, but I prefer glass. I think everything tastes far better in glass than plastic. I miss products coming in glass jars and bottles. Milk, soft drinks, jelly, pickles, everything came in glass. When we were forced to change to metal or plastic, I did choose plastic, but only because it is less bad tasting. And we recycled our glass and cannot do that with plastic & our landfills & our oceans & rivers are overflowing with our plastic throwaways. Call me an old fuddy-duddy tree hugger if you want to, but being an old fuddy-duddy tree hugger means I have had the priviledge of tasting the best of products we produced here. I love glass pitchers & the only reason I have plastic ones is because that is the only way I can get large capacity pitchers.
