These are really cute for the dining room table. They are small & delicate and are designed nicely. We got these for a wedding presen (it was on our list), and then I also recently bought a set for my sister. They haven't "tarnished" yet either, and it's been several years.
Description of Arthur Court Grape 3-Piece Salt and Pepper Set
The metal stand for this Arthur Court 3 piece grape salt and pepper set is manufactured using Arthur Court's signature premium aluminum alloy, and is designed with an elegant grapevine motif, formed into small cups, which hold the glass salt and pepper cylinders. The twist-off stainless steel caps are designed for ease in re-filling.This ensemble is so attractive you won't want to put it away.This delicate little salt-and-pepper set is a sweet accessory to display alongside other Arthur Court grape-design serveware but is versatile enough to pair with any formal tableware. Each miniature shaker is designed in a cylindrical shape out of swirled glass and stands about 3 inches tall with a slim 1/2-inch diameter. The screw-on lids are made of stainless steel to avoid staining or pitting from the salt. The shakers rest within a bed of grape leaves on a hand-crafted stand, which also features detailed bunches of grapes and a branch for a handle. The brilliant luster of the stand captures the elegance of antique silver; however, it is actually made of hand-polished aluminum, which is much easier for today's busy hostesses to maintain. The stand is not dishwasher-safe but cleans easily with mild soap and water--and, because the shakers are breakable, it is advisable to wash them by hand as well. This set makes a wonderful shower gift for the bride who has registered for other pieces in the grape collection.
