The generous size of this Arthur Court grape oval platter, along with its mirror-like finish in the center, and beautifully detailed grapevine fretwork which graces the edges, make this tray a stunning serving piece for any occasion, and a collector's dream for displaying.This tray is 18-1/2 inches long and 14-1/2 inches wide and the decorative metal is manufactured using Arthur Court's signature premium aluminum alloy.The simple grace of this beautiful, 18-1/2-inch oval serving platter makes it a perfect palette on which to serve a cold poached salmon at a celebratory brunch or a golden turkey for a formal Thanksgiving dinner. The tray's brilliant luster captures the elegance of antique silver but is actually made of hand-polished aluminum, which is much easier for today's busy hostesses to maintain. The design features bunches of grapes with leaves and vines in bas-relief winding around the outer edge of the tray. The oval tray curves up slightly at the edges to prevent food from sliding off and four feet keep the platter planted firmly on a buffet table. This aluminum serveware is not dishwasher-safe but cleans easily with mild soap and water. Lining the tray with glass or spraying it with vegetable oil just before serving will protect the polished finish from dulling or discoloration that can occur when serving highly acidic or salty foods.
