Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Aroma ARC-717-1NGR 14-Cup Rice Cooker & Food SteamerCustomer Review: Great Product Summary: 5 Stars
I've hesitated buying a rice cooker for years. I've thought, "What can a rice cooker do, that a pan on the stove can't do?" After a friend extolled the virtues of her rice cooker, I thought, "OK, maybe I'll pick one up." I found this model on sale at a local store, brought it home and tried it out. Now I'm wondering why I've waited so long to buy one. I've fixed white, brown and wild rice in this cooker with great results. My family especially likes a brown and wild rice mix and this also came out great! For the price, you can't go wrong.
Customer Review: Love it - My 1st Rice Cooker - Summary: 4 Stars
I have never had a rice cooker and I can not cook real rice at all. This is an awesome cooker- $22 at Sears. Anyway pour in water and rice and turn on and walk away. About 18 min later you have perfect rice like Peking down the street! Flips to warm after it is ready- so if you are not ready - it can wait on you.
We also chilled the left overs and made fried rice with it the next day! Yummy! Have not used the steamer part yet...but A+ on the rice part!
