Customer Review: Worked Well but Poor Documentation

The purchase experience was good. It took about a week to get the part and it appears that most of that time it was in transit. This is long but not a big issue.
There was no documentation that indicated that the valve had an input and output (i.e. flow direction). There also wasn't any indication that the valve can be mounted in either a left or right orientation. As it turns out, there is an arrow on the valve that indicates flow. Additionally, there is a screw on the side of the valve that allows it to rotate allowing either left or right mount.
In the end, this is a good product with nice features and better documentation would make this an EXCELLENT product overall.
Description of Aprilaire/Generalaire 4040 Humidifier Solenoid Valve
Replacement humidifier solenoid for Aprilaire models 220, 224, 400, 440, 550, 550A, 558, 560, 560A, 568, 600, 760, 760A, 768, and 700. This valve operates on 24V. This is manufactured by Generalaire to fit Aprilaire humidifiers.
