Ambivalent about whether I would suggest buying this item.
This is a well built kitchen utensil, and when they call this a solid spoon, they mean it! The problem is that if the bowl or pot is too small or if the spoon is setting high with the handle over the side, the spoon tends to do a wheelie and flip out of the bowl. It has a heavy handle and a light plastic scoop, so it isn't balanced well.
Still, the beauty of a flat-nosed spoon is that you can use for either flipping or scooping, making it a great all-purpose utensil. We have another, cheaper version that is used daily, so I was looking for a companion since that one is always in the dish washer. Haven't been able to find a flat nosed spoon at kitchen stores.
