I own at least 10 of these in various sizes and use them for dry good storage. Call me sappy, but opening my pantry and seeing these jars is one of life's little pleasures. I LOVE Anchor Hocking glass. It's made in the U.S.A. and is excellent quality. These jars are well-designed with wide enough mouths to scoop from, tight-fitting lids (screw-on), and a solid, heavy feel. You can easily imagine these jars filled with colorful trinkets or candy and lining wooden shelves in an old general store. (In fact I decorated one and filled it with a friend's favorite candy as an inexpensive gift one day when she needed cheering up.) I would give these jars more than 5 stars if I could - that's how much I love them - BUT - the other reviewers are right in that Amazon's price for these is currently quite high. If you can only shop online and money is not an issue for you, go ahead and buy; otherwise, if you can get out to a local discount store, you can probably find these cheaper and in more sizes. Do consider that, if your space is severely limited, these jars are not designed to be stackable (as are some plastic sets). Oh, you probably COULD stack them, but I wouldn't recommend it!
