Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of American Weigh AWS-100 Precision Pocket Scale 100 x 0.01gCustomer Review: American weight 100 and the 600gram scales Summary: 5 Stars
I collect tobacco pipes and blend pipe tobacco for my own use, and I needed a small digital scale for measuring out the differant tobacco's. I originally bought the 100 gram scale but realized that I should have purchased the 600 gram scale for weighing larger amounts.I knew it was worth the money so I purchased the 600 gram scale too. They also work great for weighing my small packages and envelopes that I mail, now I can figure my postage before going to the post office. They are both very easy to use and I'm very satisfied with the quality of both of these scales.I recommend these two scales to anyone needing a small scale. And for the price,I am glad that I bought both of them. Good Luck
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
This scale is perfect!!!! I use it to weigh many things, and the precision is just amazing. I love getting my measurements to the .01g etc... Also know that this scale is not meant to be thrown around and put in your pocket, though it can be. I just keep it on my desk to keep it from being inaccurate. Pretty big, nice lcd screen. Also know it only weights up to a hundred (100) grams so DONT try to weigh out pounds of things, as this could mess it up.....and comes with a nice little calibration weight. Haven't used the calibration thing yet but am positive it is accurate. Lastly this is a very well built solid accurate scale, and will buy more if needed.
Customer Review: Not lab grade accuracy, but hey, not lab grade price either! Summary: 5 Stars
Occasionally it will read a thousandth of a gram low or high, but otherwise performs perfectly. Yes, you must keep air currents out off of the scale and item being weighed for 0.01 gram accuracy. Also, the scale must be placed on a very stable platform. The heavier the better. Even minute vibration of the unit will affect readings, sometimes significantly. With no way of testing the 100 gram weight itself for accuracy, I'll just comment that the chrome on it is crude. The scale itself is better made and nicer appearing than I expected from the photos. Very handy, fits in a standard pant pocket. All in all, worth every penny of the $16.99 I paid for it.
Customer Review: American Weigh digital scale Summary: 4 Stars
I recently ordered this electronic scale, to weigh for gold jewelry I want to sell, and also to weigh coins. It is a pretty decent scale, it comes with the 100 gram calibration weight, and so far it seems accurate enough for the price. I find that it tends to be off by about 2 to 4 hundreths of a gram. It is mostly plastic construction, the weigh table seems to be some kind of metal. The facing with the LCD display and controls bubbles up a little though. But it is good enough for giving me a reasonable weight of metals so that I can calculate values of precious metals. And the price is a lot cheaper than buying a professional-grade scale.
Customer Review: Excellent Customer Service Summary: 5 Stars
I recent purchased a scale from this seller for the purposes of using it for weighing metals as well as other materials for my chemistry class. When I received the scale, the loading cells were damaged so the scale did not work. I contacted the seller Ed Zaker within the hour and he gave me a troubleshooting tip. The tip was not successful so I contacted him and he immediately sent out a new scale which arrived the next two days. Ed Zaker gave me extraordinary customer service and I would recommend his products as well as his customer service to everyone.
