I got this for my dad. He uses old wood to make a lot of stuffs. There were cases when the nail inside the wood broke the knifes he uses to carve. I just thought this metal detector might help. Both detectors helped me during installation or removal of carpet. I could probably do the job without them, but those small nails could easily hurt my hand. I definately recommend these two models as a good tool for home improvement.

After trying many other products that claimed they could find reinforcing steel in concrete (they couldn't), I gave this a try. It works great! No more drilling into steel to set anchor bolts.
