It squishes cans quite well. We used to have one of those smaller all metal units, but the handle broke nearly immediately, and had to be taped up to function. This one is a big improvement, as well as having to be used less often due to capacity. The only (slight) drawback is that the can Holder could be a little beefier. But we figure the weight difference in Plastic vs Metal was a lot of the consideration. It has not failed after hundreds of uses, so it is becoming a moot point.
Overall, it is a fantastic tool, and we recommend it highly.

I have had the Crusher for about one month now and have crushed about 200 cans so far. It has been working reallu well so far. It will crush 10 cans as fast as you can pull the handle. Does a great job. I have used other types of can crushers, byt they did not hold up. I guess I am really still in the testing stage with this crusher, but so far it is great.Customer Review: Almost ain't good enough...

Neat idea, poor implementation. "Luck of the draw" item. The version we received was built of metal and plastic. Surprise Surprise - plastic part (back of ram) broke - after 33 crushes. Can chute flimsy, crusher assembly half-flimsy. Misfed on virgin cans 3 or 4 times. Failed to drop crushed cans about a third of the time. Returned.Customer Review: Don't bother

This is about the most poorly engineered thing I've ever seen, all the people that gave it 5 stars obviously got something different than what I received, it flat out doesn't work. I read the instructions several times to make sure that I didn't leave anything out. The fact that you have to "assemble" such a product cant be good.Customer Review: CAN RAM ALUMINUM CAN CRUSHER

Unit is a piece of junk. Bought 2 units brand new. Tried to put first unit basket together and plastic cracked. Sold off both units online for $9. The first unit got returned and the second unit person wanted to return because said did not work. After that I was done. Really like the concept but cans are difficult to crush.
