Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Allerpet Grooming Emollient, C for Cats, 12 ozCustomer Review: No idea why it works, but IT DOES! Summary: 5 Stars
This stuff is worth its weight in gold if you have a kitty and have cat allergies. My allergies to cats are so bad that I'll get a full blown symphony of symptoms--red welts, itching everywhere, watery eyes, sneezing, congestion--the whole thing. When we first got our cat, I put it on her once a week. (That's when I started getting my symptoms back.) We've had the cat two months now, and I haven't had to apply it to her in three weeks! It's CRAZY! It doesn't have a smell either. I just put it on a microfiber cloth and apply it all over my Maine Coon mix's fur. She enjoys it, too. After four applications, I still have a half a bottle left. I can give my kitty kisses and rub my face in her fur and have absolutely no allergy symptoms. Absolutely incredible.
Customer Review: Works wonderfully! Summary: 5 Stars
We have six cats. Our two daughters have allergic reactions to them from time to time, especially to one of them. I found that rubbing this into his fur about once a week (especially the hind quarters "all parts") helps tremendously to eliminate the allergic reactions. If I do forget to bathe him, I can tell when he needs to be bathed again because my daughter will hug him and a hive will start to appear. She gets Benadryl and he gets the Allerpet bath. The hives go away and don't return for weeks. I don't have to use it on the other cats as often as our one boy, so I save on the cost. Buy in bulk and it makes it easier. (We also have two special air filtration systems (RabbitAir) in our house and a Dyson vacuum for the hair / dander to keep allergens down.
Customer Review: A wipedown with water only works for me Summary: 4 Stars
Just a wipedown with a towel wet with water every 2 to 3 days works for me.
I bought this product but was hesitant to use it since I don't like the idea of using a strange chemical on her. I decided to try wiping my cat with a towel wet with water every couple days. Amazingly it works, I had really extreme amounts of sneezing and runny nose to the point that I couldn't hear myself think before trying this. I guess the main allergens only build up after a few days of her licking herself.
So I just thought I'd share my home remedy for anyone willing to try it. Let me know how it goes for you.
Customer Review: Hello World! Summary: 5 Stars
Hello World! I'm a very happy 65 yr. old female owner of a poodle for 10 years and was using Allerpet D for dogs. I was sick at the thought that this cute little female (Socks) orange tabby cat adopted ME and I had spent a fortune at the vet on her, but I was reacting with eyes itching and nose stinging and burning and bleeding. I quickly ordered Allerpet C for Cats and from the day I applied it to SOCKS, no more nasal problems! Recommend this product (and Allerpet D also) for all pet owners who suffer with allergies. Teddy loves Socks and I love THEM!
Thank you Allerpet - WE LOVE YOU! Andra in Florida
Customer Review: Love the product - and seller is great, fast shipping, low price Summary: 5 Stars
I was skeptical the first time I used this product, thinking no way could there be that simple a solution to allergies - but now it's been over 5 months that I've used it on my 3 cats, and my fiance who is extremely allergic is absolutely fine around them. You need to keep up with the weekly use - by the end of the week, he starts to sneeze a little and it's time to rub down the cats again! A bottle lasts forever - I'm still on the first one and only ordered a second because I was getting low. I use it pretty generously so I think that's impressive. Definitely worth it!! Highly recommended.
