Overall very satisfied with the product. The wife's asthma attacks are much improved and my eyes aren't swollen shut in the morning anymore from allergies/dust mites/mold or whatever the heck it was that was bothering me (I am highly allergic). I was able to tell with my eyes within the first couple days, though per the literature it can take a couple weeks to get the entire room well sterilized.
In response to the poster above, you can dim the blue light with a dimmer switch button on the underside if the light the airfree gives off bothers you.

My first home is a 1950 bungalo that was the former home of 3 cats. Dispite vent cleaning, removing the carpets and new paint, we still had breathing problems in the house. I purchased 3 of the Onix 3000 machines, one for each bedroom and one for the living room. The change in the air quality was immediate. We woke up the next day with clear heads and even my dogs have stopped snoring. Proper placement was a bit complicated, but once that was worked out, they are completely silent and effective.Customer Review: Blue Light Special

I bought this unit for my bedroom. I wanted something quiet, rather than the air cleaner I currently have and I need something going all the time due to allergies. You cannot turn off the blue light. It is very bright. I moved the unit to a spare bedroom where I sometimes store dusty items from the attic and it works fine there where I do not mind the light.Customer Review: it works? ???

This thing amazes me- not great on odors, but it doesn't make a sound- no noise- and if the the blue light wasn't on and the air didn't feel cleaner I think I was cheated. It's shocking, the air in my home FEELS cleaner, it's more relaxing to be in here- and me and my family are sleeping sounder. worth every penny.Customer Review: So quiet I don't know it's working....

I have really bad sinuses due to a deviated septum. I don't know if this device is really working but I am hopeful that it is. It is absolutely silent so it's hard to know. I do enjoy the blue light as it keeps me from walking into things.
