This item worked right out of the box. The settings are really easy to navigate and it shuts off automatically when the desired humidity level is reached. We have used the humidifier every night since it arrived. The only issue I have is that the cleaning light comes on after 14 days of use and you need to purchase a special cleaning agent in order not to void the warranty. The humidifier works fine for me BUT... it costs nearly $100 to maintain each year.... Once per year you need to replace a $30 Ionic Silver Stick. Every 2-3 months you must replace the dimineralization cartridge $15/ea. ($45 for the three I use during winter). Hard water may force you to replace more often. Then you have to use a special cleaner/descaler solution every two weeks. It's like having to buy a new humidifier each year.Customer Review: Quiet and Comfortable

The humidifier is the quietest I have ever used. Though it gurgles softly every once in a while, the unit puts out very little noise. It also works well in terms of humidifying the room. We use it in our master bedroom, which is a decent size and it does well. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet system. It's more expensive than regular humidifiers, but worth the price if you don't like the noise that comes with the others.Customer Review: Great Product

I bought this for my husband hoping it would give him some relief from his allergies. It works great even though we have very hard water. And best of all, my husband hasn't needed his allergy medicine at all since we started using it (about 1 month now). An added benefit is that he doesn't snore anymore! The only drawback to this item is that it does leave a white powder like dust in the room, but it cleans up easily enough.Customer Review: Great Humidifier

Great product after going through many honeywell humidifiers with there nasty moldy paper filters i decided to splurge. Works amazing ultra quiet aside from the occasional trickle of water sound. Digital hygrostat is awesome no more nights waking up sweaty because of humidifier running full blast all night. Have not had any issues with white dust at all. If your tired of crappy humidifiers invest in something that will last.
