This is a nice little table lamp and the alabaster globe meets my expectations though you have to be ready for some quirky veining in the alabaster which is part of the deal when you buy alabaster. But a really odd swirl or vein can be dealt with by simply turning the lamp so it's no big deal. What does bother me a little, and I knew it would when I ordered this lamp, is that awful cheap polished bronze look of the base. Pretty tacky if you ask me, but I may learn to accept it or perhaps I'll try a different finish, a faux verdigris perhaps. I feel the price was reasonable and the seller did an impressive job of packing. This thing could have fallen off the truck and survived, and delivery was quicker than expected. I'm not at all sorry I bought this lamp.
