Customer Review: Works great unless you use clumping litter

We've had the litter locker for almost 2 years and think it's wonderful. The refills are a bit high at the chain pet stores (around $11) so if you're on a tight budget you will definitely want to order it online like I did through Amazon.
We have multiple cats and have been using the non-clumping crystal litter since it lasts longer. When we clean the litter boxes we are therefore only throwing out the "waste" and a few of the crystals. We recently got a great deal on some natural clumping litter so we tried it out in one of our litter boxes. As expected, the cats love it but we cannot put what comes out of this box into the litter locker because it fills it up so fast. We just use plastic grocery bags for that box, but the litter locker is great for the other boxes and the online refill price we got saved us over 50% from store prices even after paying for delivery!

I have had a litter locker for about 6 months. I have the blue and white one. These refills are for the blue and white container, I don't know if they fit the black and white one or not. I have 2 cats, and clean the box every day or two. I scoop the remains from the box into the litter guard and turn the wheel. I empty the guard every week so that it doesn't get too heavy. I have had people come into my house and say they don't know I have cats until they see them. Which, before the litter guard wasn't the case. Each refill tube lasts about 3-4 weeks. I had a hard time finding them in town this last time so I came to Amazon. I got 5 for less than $39 (including shipping). In town they are $8.99-10.00 a piece. So I saved some money and gas. I'm pleased with the product, and the convience of both the product and the online buying. Just a win-win all the way around!

I have used the Litter Locker Plus for several years and it is wonderful. Keeps the smell down to nothing and the cartridges are very good. I have only broken 1 bag and it was my fault in the last 13 refills(I buy 5 at a time and usually each cartridge lasts for more than 3 months with 2 small cats - cornish rex)!! I no longer follow their instructions (haven't for years). The locker keeps smell to nothing so no need to thread the bags thru the slots and turn the wheel, etc. Just knot the end of the new bag and pull out enough to almost reach the bottom straight down. As it fills it will pull down the rest needed and you don't waste any of the plastic bag which is made from sturdy plastic. Each bag holds around 10 lbs dirty when done my way and each cartridge lasts for 3-4 months with 2 small cats. No odor, no tears - what more could you want? Litter Locker cartridges are convenient and work well. No kitty litter odor. Only complaint is that there is a lot of wasted plastic film when you pull out the end of the film, knot it, attach it to the wheel inside the kitty litter locker. You also waste a lot when you wind it around the wheel to seal in the odor. You can see the wasted film when you dispose of the soiled film, the litter slides into one little pile, leaving about a third of the film sleeve empty but unuseable. Don't know what the solution for that is. Finally, the only problems I have had with holes (noted by another user) is when the film snags on the protruding pieces of plastic at the bottom of the litter locker as I take the wheel out of the locker. A little care solves that problem. Still, there is no system better for keeping kitty litter boxes in rooms in which humans live.Customer Review: Nice product - the razorblades of cat poop

This is a great product. The litter locker is wonderful in that my hands never have to touch cat pee or poop again and my nose rarely if ever has to be insulted by the rancid nastiness that is cat excrement. SO I love the product. I have two glorious cats. These refills last about 3 weeks. SO that's great too. That I can get 5 at a time is nice as well. The instructions are very easy to understand and are printed right on the units. But if you have a litter locker, you already know how easy it is. I heartily recommend this product.
I call this the razor blades of cat poop for obvious reasons: you'll like this and the litter locker so much, you'll be hooked on purchasing these for as long as you own your furry critters and you'll generate a constant revenue stream for the maker!
