I have a very sensitive nose when it comes to pet odors and this item is the BEST thing I have found to eliminate kittybox odors.
When I purchased the litter locker I had my doubts as to how effective it would be in keeping the job of litterbox cleaning and smell to a manageable level. My cat actually loves the litterlocker and will sit at her litterbox each morning waiting for it to be cleaned for the day.
I've heard of of those "electronic" messy litterboxes and didn't want to get stuck cleaning out the rakes and such. The litter locker is a sanitary way to keep kitty's litterbox odor and lump free. The litterlocker is so easy to use, scoop, deposit in the "fresh bag" and twist the side handle to "get rid of" your kitty waste. Once a week we empty the litter locker and have never had it break or leak even once. With the waste wrapped in plastic it's odor-free and very easy to take out to the garbage can with no problems at all.
The ultimate compliment is having people come to my house and be surprised when our kitty comes out to greet them - saying that they usually smell that "cat smell" when they enter a "cat" house and they didn't smell that in our house at all. I love the litterlocker and always recommend it to my friends who are equally impressed with the ease of use and the freshness maintained by using the litter locker.

This is a great product with only one flaw. Sometimes it's difficult to find the edge of the plastic bag to pull it through and get the roll started. It would be great if the manufacturer could simply put a piece of colored tape onto the edge that the consumer could pull on to get the roll started properly. A couple of times I have had to pull out just about the entire roll in my attempt to find the edge to get it started. I would then have to stuff all of the plastic bag back into the container, which really hurt my fingers. If there were a colored tab to pull on to get it started, that would be perfect.

I have stopped buying this product because the price just keeps going up and up. I now use plastic grocery bags each day to scoop the waste into, tie the handles shut at the top, then toss the bag into my outside garbage container. The grocery bags are free, and they work just fine. I also had a problem with the litter locker itself the last few months that I used it -- it would not stay closed when I picked it up, so it would make a nasty mess when it fell open in the middle of my room. I don't know if the litter locker just wore out or not; I just knew I was not happy with its performance or the insane cost of the refills for it. I'm much happier with the free shopping bags system I'm using now.

When I discovered the Litter Locker I was thrilled. Living in an upstairs apartment, and a far walk to the trash dumpster, I used to scoop my cat's litter into a brown bag, then place it in a plastic bag, and then toss it in the trash can, and every time I entered the room again (my litter box was in my master bathroom), I would smell that horrible cat urine smell. Then I started putting the brown bags in another trash can in the closet in an effort to hide the smell, but every time I opened the closet door that smell would hit me like a ton of bricks, so eventually I just ended up running it out to the trash dumpster just to get rid of the odor. Drove me nuts. Now that I have the Litter Locker, I place it in the corner next to the toilet, and I swear, they must have used magic when making the plastic used in the refill cartridges, because I cannot smell anything at all, even when sittting right next to it. It's a wonderful product, and so convenient. Now I only empty the cartridge about every two weeks, and I just change it on trash day so it goes from the Litter Locker right to the dumpster. I bought the Litter Locker when I had to move my two cats into my apartment. They are confined to my bedroom for much of the day, and one of them is a diabetic that urinates frequently. I have to clean my litter box twice a day because of this. Having the Litter Locker has made an huge difference in my life. Using it has taken a stressful situation and turned it into a low-maintenance routine. All I have to do is scoop the litter into the Litter Locker, turn the wheel, and then I'm done. It is so quick and easy.
I find that because I have two cats and have to clean their box so much, buying the five-pack is the most economically smart choice. For me, the cartridges last about one and a half to two weeks. I think if my one cat wasn't diabetic and peeing all the time, a cartridge would last me a lot longer. The cartridges are so easy to use and replace, too. I am seriously in love with the Litter Locker and the difference it has made in my life.

We've been using the Litter Locker for about 3 years and have never had a complaint. In fact we thought of it as a God-send! When our local Petco stopped carrying the refills, (although they still sell the Litter Locker unit...go figure), we started looking on-line.
The first place we saw was Amazon, my favorite place to shop! I've used several of their sellers before without any problem, so I wasn't the least bit apprehensive about buying from one of them.
We placed the order on a Sunday and in less than a week we had them, and at half the price that we would have spent at Petco!
I'm not sure what the "plus" is and it doesn't seem to be addressed anywhere on the labeling, but I was concerned it might be a size issue and wouldn't fit our unit. As it turns out, it fits perfectly and we are once again happily shrink wrapping our kitty's "buried treasures".
