These needles are of mediocre quality, but they do work. I would only recommend these for someone new to knitting who is not yet ready to shell out for higher quality tools but wants to have a range of needle sizes available. For this purpose these are great, but keep in mind that you will probably very quickly want to replace these. If you're a committed knitter on a tight budget, you're better buying fewer better quality needles than this set.
The specific problems I've had with these needles is that the bamboo is not as smooth as it could be and sometimes the yarn sticks to the needles a bit. (Note that there is no significant roughness, and the yarn isn't snagging on anything on the needles.) Also, the plastic cable is a little bit sticky/tacky. I find that I have to expend more deliberate effort to slide my stitches around on these needles as compared to other brands of bamboo needles.
Durability seems okay. I've had these for nearly 3 months, and even the needles I use frequently show no notable signs of wear. The bamboo does seem a little bit soft; my cat put a few dents into one of the needles when I left it out. My other bamboo needles have suffered no cat damage, but I also haven't caught my cat chewing on those needles.
I'll keep using these needles for now, but as I find myself using certain sizes frequently I've been replacing with higher quality needles. Additionally, I have not been looking at other Stanwood needle sets when I need different lengths of circular needles.

For sale is 14 prs of 24" bamboo knitting needles with various sizes: US 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10,10.5, 11, 13 and 15. The overall length is from needle point to point; the length of needle is 5 3/8" each; the flexible plastic tubing is 13 1/4".
