Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of 16 oz Can CrusherCustomer Review: Improving the crusher as it is Summary: 3 Stars
Heavy-Duty, Effortless Can Crusher for Recycling - Lifetime Warranty
I don't have such upper body strength and mounted the crusher to push down on. Great, but the can kept slipping out of the crusher, and without me risking my digits to hold it in, it wouldn't work. (possible lawsuit somewhere)! I had an AH HA moment and found one of those 6" round rubber graspers to open cans with. Cut it up, super glued it to the top of the bottom and the bottom of the top and the cans are flat as a flitter without sliding out. So update your product to rubberize the crusher. (I would like to share in the profits if it works) :*)
And I am an advertiser . . . I just can't help it! It would behoove your product!
Customer Review: could be dangerous Summary: 1 Stars
crushed cans well...for a while. Then the rivets holding the handle in place snapped, and I had to wrap a bungie cord around the top of the pull arm to keep it together. This held for some time. Sometimes, a can will crush in a strange way and come flying out of the front of the device. I've had more than a few cans get stuck in the crushed position, when the bent can just grabbed onto the side, and I had to grab the can and yank it out--sharp edges and all.
Eventually, the crushing platform just broke off the side arms, leaving the device totally useless. I would not buy another one. In fact I went for a different model from another maker. I would not recommend this to anyone.
Customer Review: the worst thing ever Summary: 1 Stars
Just possibly, this is the worst thing I have ever bought. We have owned this for two months, and we crush a good amount of cans. The metal that makes up the crushing mechanism (the joints) is weak and almost immediately broke. So, of course, we tried to fix it with pliers. This made no difference. The main hinge bent beyond all recognition and has rendered this thing useless. Had I saved the receipt from the retail store we bought it from, I would have been elated to return it. I'm logging on really just to buy the Crusher so that I can have something that works.
Customer Review: worst piece of crap ever made! Summary: 1 Stars
I can't believe how chintzy this thing is! The side arms are weaker than the aluminum they are supposed to crush! After five soda cans or so the entire apparatus was so warped it became impossible to use. This should not be on the market. Great concept but shoddily made. The center handgrip is not permanently attached to the side arms either, keeps coming loose. Total waste of money. Better to stomp the cans and crush them with your shoes! Takes less effort also!
Customer Review: Waste of money Summary: 1 Stars
I agree with the other negative reviews about this product. It lasted me less than one week. Almost immediately the handle came unattached, and the metal bent like a pretzel. Very cheaply made. Don't waste your money. I'm now buying a heavy duty can crusher. Whomever is giving this a lifetime warranty must have a warped sense of humor.
